EPOCH - Legend (held from 26 February - 11 March 2012)

This is an amazing amazing event being put on by several organizers. If you haven’t had the chance to stop by, I highly recommend it.

This post features my looks from each of the subthemes: EPOCH - Beast, EPOCH - Clowning, and EPOCH - Art of Escher. Not only are the clothes, poses, accessories, and prefabs amazing…but the visuals are absolutely stunning. They’re a great photo opportunity for those of you who love to take in-world snaps as well!

#16 Feedback

Not sure why, but this outfit made me feel like something of a pixel diva. Fashion diva that is. And what better music to listen to while in Photoshop other than Janet Jackson (one of the all time divas of our time).

#14 Fixing A Hole

Too much on my mind, blogging helps to keep it away. Guess it’s just one of those weekends. The bandage on the hole.

Speaking of bandages … Sleeping Koala just released some awesome tights. The bandage tights are a fun addition to any outfit. And lucky for people like me, you can get them individually for 90L each or as fatpacks. There are some fun bright solid colors, fishnets, cheetah prints, and zebra prints. #13 Derezzed (52 Weeks of Color: Folly)

Whenever I see neon lights, I think of Tron. … When the album came out out, I listened to it for half of my plane ride to Europe. I love me some Daft Punk.

Anyways. Not into “catching up” on past weeks of the challenge…and seeing as how I’m a lazy bum. I’ll participate in the weeks when I feel inspired by the color. I’m not into pink usually. Baby pink can just die forever. Bright pinks on the other hand are hawt. So hot, I spelled it hawt. Even better when I can find it in mesh.

#11 Under the Bridge

Holy cow! It’s been a month and half since my last post (maybe longer). Either way, happy blood red and pink singles awareness day and such.

Not much to tell here. We found a cool sim, it has a bridge. You get the idea for the music theme. What’s hotter than hot pixels with a motorcycle…and leather and lingerie?

#10  Singing in the Rain (duh)

I’m still featuring some With Love (again) Hunt items…mostly because I took this picture a WEEK ago and just found the time to photoshop it last night. :/ C’est la vie. Good thing it runs until January 6th!!! You still got time.

I had to use the Holiday Lamp post again from {What Next}, basically because “Singing In The Rain” was my favorite musical growing up. And, Gene Kelly was (and still is) my favorite actor of that era. So I donned my fedora hat (from the hunt), put on a snazy dress (from the hunt), and threw on a suit jacket.

#9 Do You Hear

Here are some featured items from Fashionably Late and the With Love (again) Hunt. Just a little something I pulled together.

I don’t have much to say about the items I’ve got my fantabulous pixels wearing. But I’m gonna continue on with the Holiday music. Tonight I bring you Future of Forestry. So, I was actually looking for this song on Spotify, and I happened to catch their name. Could it possibly be these guys? And it was. Let me tell you, I know the lead singer from 8 or so years ago, and hearing him sing this song brought back a Flood of memories. (ahaha pun not intended, but still funny. I knew them when they were Something Like Silas, where they sang at a service called Flood). Anyways. I’ve been in something of an odd mood the past few days. And listening to Future of Forestry’s Christmas albums has been somewhat reconciling. See. 7 years ago something happened that was damaging to me personally and the members of Silas. Listening to Eric sing brought back some crazy memories, good ones. He’s got a great singing voice (if you’re into this ambient/rock style), and I remember very vividly the emotions he could stir in a crowd. Anyways. This life changing and damaging event. He redefined himself with the new band name (all original band members having since left). Not only that, but he overcame the hardship and found himself a wonderful life in this moment now. I thought back for a moment, and realized I’m in a much better place than I was 7 years ago. And despite my funk, I can still appreciate that I have a fulfilling job (despite it being frustrating as hell), I’ve got a beautiful and wonderful and large family, and I’m going to marry the love of my life (who I met in SL). The things that damaged our souls are finally behind me. I’m not sure when I let go of the resentment or the anger. But I think hearing this dude’s voice, a blast from my past, made me realized that I did. And hell. that’s something to celebrate.

#8 Winter Wonderland

Oh my God! I am alive! Here’s a blog post, which I did mostly because I wanted to photoshop something, which I’m rust at.

#6 Endless Summer Nights

Today’s tunes is in “celebration” of the end of my summer. It comes and passes a bit too fast.  Although, the weather is still lovely here in California. I’m in and out on old 80s ballads. Cute song. #5 Island in the Sun

The days of summer are winding down, and I wish they’d stay just a while longer. On the plus side, I’m getting lots of rest and having fun in RL while catching up on PSing, posemaking, and (of course) shopping in SL.

A friend pointed me into the direction of Fashionably Late. Another collection of some of SL’s finest designers. Not 20 minutes later I received a notecard advertising this dress. I had to have it. The colors are vivid and fun. You don’t need much to add to your wardrobe, perhaps a simple necklace and some hot shoes.
